In force from 14.09.2026

1. General provisions

These terms of sale apply to purchases made from the online shop at cruffin.ee.

The owner and seller of the online shop is Saiatehas OÜ (registry code 16158989, VAT no. EE102340370), located at Kastani 42, 50410 Tartu, Estonia, e-mail sai@cruffin.ee.

These terms of sale apply to contracts of sale concluded through the online shop between the buyer (the customer) and Saiatehas OÜ, referred to below as Cruffin.

In addition to these terms, purchases from the online shop are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia, in particular the Law of Obligations Act and the Consumer Protection Act.

Cruffin may amend these terms of sale. Amendments take effect when published in the online shop and do not apply retroactively to orders already placed. The terms that applied at the moment an order was submitted govern that order.

2. Products and prices

The online shop sells fresh bakery and pastry products, drinks, gifts and gift cards.

All prices are in euros and include VAT. The price shown with a product applies at the moment the order is placed.

Product photographs are illustrative. The appearance, weight and shape of handmade products vary slightly from batch to batch — this is not a defect.

The product range depends on the location. Each product states the Cruffin location where it is available. If your basket contains products that are not sold at the location you want, that location cannot be selected for collection.

Cruffin reserves the right to change its product range and prices.

3. Food information

Allergen information is provided with every product. If you have a food allergy or intolerance, please read the product information before ordering and write to sai@cruffin.ee if anything is unclear.

Our products are made in a kitchen that handles gluten, milk, eggs, nuts and sesame. We cannot rule out cross-contamination with these allergens in any of our products — we do not offer gluten-free products.

Our products are fresh and contain no preservatives. They are intended to be eaten on the day of collection unless stated otherwise on the product.

4. Placing an order and concluding the contract

To place an order, add the products you want to your basket, choose the collection location and time, fill in the required fields and pay for the order.

Before you confirm the order you are shown a summary: the products, quantities, collection location and time, and the final amount. By confirming the order you make a binding offer to purchase.

The contract is concluded once the order has been paid for, when the payment has been received in the bank account of Saiatehas OÜ. Where payment is made against an invoice (see clause 5.2), the contract is concluded when Cruffin confirms the order. Order confirmation is sent to the e-mail address you entered when placing the order.

Because the contract is concluded by means of distance communication (a website), it is a distance contract within the meaning of § 52 of the Law of Obligations Act, including where you collect the order yourself.

Please check that the details you enter are correct. If the e-mail address or telephone number is wrong, the order confirmation and other notices may not reach you.

Cruffin may cancel an order and refund the payment if a product unexpectedly becomes unavailable (for example a shortage of ingredients or an equipment failure), or if the order contains an obvious error such as a clearly incorrect price. We will contact you if this happens.

5. Payment

5.1 Payment in the online shop

Orders are paid for in advance in the online shop. Payments are processed by Montonio. You can choose:

  • bank link — the internet banks of Estonian banks
  • card payment — Visa and Mastercard.

Payment takes place in Montonio's secure environment. Cruffin does not see or store your banking credentials or card details. Montonio's own terms of service also apply at the moment of payment.

An order is taken into production once payment has been received. If payment is not received, the order is not fulfilled.

5.2 Payment against an invoice (for businesses)

Legal persons may pay against an invoice. To arrange this, contact sai@cruffin.ee before placing your order and state the company name, registry code, address and the e-mail address of the invoice recipient.

The payment term for an invoice is 7 days from the date it is issued. The order is handed over at the agreed time, including before the invoice has been paid.

In the event of late payment, Cruffin may charge interest of 0.05% per day on the outstanding amount and suspend acceptance of further orders until the debt has been settled.

Payment against an invoice is not a service directed at consumers — the right of withdrawal described in clause 9 applies only to consumers within the meaning of § 1 of the Law of Obligations Act.

6. Collecting your order

Orders are collected from the chosen Cruffin location:

  • Cruffin at Aparaaditehas — Kastani 42, Tartu. Open Mon–Sun 9–17.
  • Cruffin at Raekoja plats — Raekoja plats 6, Tartu. Open Mon–Fri 8–17, Sat–Sun 9–17.

Orders must be placed at least 24 hours before the desired collection time. We cannot accept orders through the online shop at shorter notice, because the products are baked in the early morning.

When you collect your order, give your name or the order number to the member of staff.

Because of the nature of fresh goods, please collect your order on the agreed day. If an order is not collected by closing time at that location on the chosen day, the order is deemed to have been handed over; the product is not kept or replaced, and no refund is given, because these are perishable goods that Cruffin has made for the customer.

If you cannot collect your order, let us know as soon as possible at sai@cruffin.ee. We will find a solution.

7. Delivery

Cruffin does not deliver online shop orders itself.

  • Wolt — the fastest way to get Cruffin products delivered. Wolt's own terms apply to a Wolt order, and Wolt is responsible for delivery.
  • Larger orders — for orders of more than 20 items we can deliver within the city of Tartu by arrangement. To arrange this, write to sai@cruffin.ee. Delivery terms and charges are agreed separately and are not part of a standard online shop order.

8. Gift cards

A gift card is a bearer instrument: anyone holding the card can use it. A lost or stolen gift card is not replaced or blocked.

Gift cards can be used on the premises only at Cruffin's shops at Kastani 42 and Raekoja plats 6. Gift cards cannot be used to pay in the online shop.

A gift card must be used in a single purchase. The gift card is a paper card on which no remaining balance can be recorded, and it is therefore treated as used on first use. If the purchase costs less than the value of the gift card, the unused balance is not refunded in cash and is not transferred to a new card. If the purchase costs more, the difference is paid in the usual way.

A gift card is valid for one year from the date of purchase. After it expires the gift card is no longer valid and no refund is given for it.

Gift cards are not refunded in money and are not exchanged for cash.

9. Right of withdrawal

9.1 Food products — no right of withdrawal

Under § 53(4) of the Law of Obligations Act a consumer has no right to withdraw from a distance contract where the object of the contract is goods that deteriorate or expire rapidly, or goods made to the consumer's personal requirements.

Cruffin's bakery and pastry products and drinks are fresh, perishable goods made for each individual order. The 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to them.

This does not affect your right to file a complaint about a defective product (see clause 10).

9.2 Souvenirs and other non-food items — 14 days

Products that are not food — for example the tote bag and the stickers — are subject to a consumer's 14-day right of withdrawal. The period begins on the day after you receive the product.

To withdraw, send notice to sai@cruffin.ee within 14 days. State the order number, the product and your bank account number. You may also use the standard form, but you are not required to.

The returned product must be unused and in its original packaging. You may bring it to Cruffin or send it by post; the cost of returning it is borne by the customer, unless the product was defective or the wrong product was sent.

The money (including any delivery charge collected by Cruffin) is refunded to the same account or payment method within 14 days of our receiving the notice of withdrawal. Cruffin may withhold the refund until the product has been returned or the customer has provided proof that it has been sent back.

If the value of the returned product has decreased because it was handled in a way other than was necessary, Cruffin may set off that decrease in value.

9.3 Gift cards

An unused gift card may be withdrawn from within 14 days of purchase, following the procedure in clause 9.2. A gift card that has been used in part or in full cannot be withdrawn from.

10. Filing a complaint

Cruffin is liable for a product's non-conformity with the contract under § 217 and § 218 of the Law of Obligations Act.

If a product does not conform to the contract — it has spoiled, is the wrong product, is incomplete or does not match its description — tell us as soon as possible, and at the latest within two months of discovering the defect, at sai@cruffin.ee.

For food products, please include a photograph if you can and write to us on the same or the following day — the condition of a fresh product cannot be assessed later.

In your notice, state:

  • your name and contact details
  • the order number and date
  • what the defect consists of
  • what you would like (replacement, a reduction in price, or a refund).

We reply in writing within 15 days. If the defect is confirmed, we will repair or replace the product or refund the money.

Cruffin is not liable for defects that arise after the product has been handed over, through the customer's own actions, incorrect storage or ordinary spoilage.

11. Personal data

To fulfil your order, Saiatehas OÜ processes your name, e-mail address, telephone number and order details. The legal basis is performance of the contract.

Data is passed on only to the extent necessary to fulfil the order — to the payment service provider in order to process the payment, and for accounting purposes. Accounting source documents are retained for 7 years, as required by the Accounting Act.

You have the right to access your data, to request its correction or deletion, and to lodge a complaint with the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (info@aki.ee). Enquiries: sai@cruffin.ee.

Newsletter. When placing an order you can tick a box giving your consent to receive the Cruffin newsletter. Consent is voluntary and is not a condition of placing an order. You can withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the link at the end of the newsletter or by writing to sai@cruffin.ee. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before it.

12. Resolution of disputes

We aim to resolve disputes primarily through negotiation. Write to sai@cruffin.ee.

If no agreement is reached, a consumer has the right to turn to the Consumer Disputes Committee at:

Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority
Endla 10a, 10122 Tallinn, Estonia
info@ttja.ee · +372 620 1707
ttja.ee/tarbijavaidluste-komisjon

The procedure is free of charge for the consumer. You also have the right to turn to Tartu County Court.

Estonian law applies to the contract.
